WEBINAR: Intro to Pettler's Staging Taxonomy

Time: 9a-5p, Location: HOST AGENCY...Murder is the only kind of death with offender-post-death-behaviors that run concurrent with and that are reflective of preceding victim-offender conflict, motive, self-preservation, and the ways the offender benefits from the victim’s death. Staged death scenes alone do not usually constitute probable cause for arrest or sufficient evidence for prosecution of murder. Criminal justice professionals need additional advanced tools to place staged evidence in context for juries because staged murders are most often 100% circumstantial-evidence-based cases. This course does not teach crime scene or death scene processing for staged murder cases, rather this course is specifically designed to teach early detection methodology of potentially staged murders and classification of staged evidence. Investigators and CSI’s can use these new advanced tools in tandem with industry-standardized and scientifically accepted crime scene and death scene processing methodologies and techniques to not only solve staged murder cases, but to clear staged murder cases.
